Day 75

When I was 19 years-old I got a job as a hatcheck girl at Mimi's that was on East 52rd Street at the time. It was and is a piano bar- I loved Mimi and the staff.  They were so good to me, let me study my scripts and friends could sit at the bar.. Barbra, was sleeping on the floor of her agents waiting for I Can Get It for You Wholesale.. and she was often at Mimi's..

I love her, she was great and both of us shared having lost a parent , Barbra her dad and me my mother. We began working at a very young age and were responsible for our own survival.. Over the years I saw her a few times and we said hi.. she worked really hard with tremendous talent.. the deepest respect.
