Yesterday a little daunting- root canal scheduled- teeth have been a bane since childhood-3 times braces- sent to the wrong dentist who believed in pulling and not treating. Have spent a fortune in that chair-however I have had some marvelous dentists. Years back was Dr. Egan- kind of a celebrity dentist who cared for many of the New York writers and artists. I get to know my dentists well and we had many chats. Then Dr. Mannino who I saw every three months- he and the office staff became friends. Anyway, it was distressing yesterday-except that I am working with a student applying to dental school as I have in the past. My experiences in the chair makes me a good one- sigh sometimes one has knowledge that could be otherwise utilized... ah well, what's another dental expense.
