I read The Asiatics when I was very young and then again some. The traveler I believed hitchhiked across Asia, meeting some of the same people along the way. What I did not know was that this seemingly intrepid travel log was a work of the imagination. And I realized with time that travel might not be any further than 4 walls, but of course it could be-with eyes to see.
