Day 15

Once I left the suburbs-I became a city girl. My stomping places cast a wide net with time in Los Angeles, New York, Paris, Berlin... Non of these places required having a car and I either walked many streets or it was by cab in the days before Uber. And then I moved first to Princeton which did have public transportation and then further out to New Hope, PA and I was sunk.. it was drive... well I was over 50 by then and had now idea.. failed the written test some times with the level of alcohol and the driving test 4 times. The last time my tester gave me a pass and said that "I was not a threat to the road"- and I was not.. never had an accident..and actually enjoyed my few predictable routes to Princeton and Whole Earth Center and work at Bucks County Community College.. Oh I forgot I was learning to drive earlier when I lived in Santa Barbara (mostly hitched) and bought a 1950 car for $50--it was great.. went on vacation and she wrecked it...so be it in my world.....drive on kiddo's.
